My work focuses on complex and biological flows investigated with high-performance simulation methods, with target systems ranging from molecular fluids to macromolecules  and suspensions in aqueous and ionic environments.

I am specially interested in biofluids such as blood, described from the red blood cells up to large scale physiological level, and the physiological consequences of hemodynamic disorders and blockages.

In my research I take advantage of simulations techniques, such as particle-based (Molecular Dynamics/Monte Carlo), CFD (Lattice Boltzmann) and liquid-state (Density Functional) methods. I actively develop new approaches aimed at a unified multi scale modeling applied to microscopic, mesoscopic or macroscopic scenarios.
